Armored Troll

Armored Troll is one of the seven bosses in the current implementation of the Prison Island. He is a very well telegraphed boss and very slow in general. Troll joins the battlefield with -30% Reduced Incoming Main Attack Damage Buff represented below the Health Bar. Currently Troll has no summoning mechanics unlike some other bosses within the Prison Island.

Flail Overhead SlamThe Troll will lock onto the highest-aggro target, planting both flails in front of it before drawing its left arm back for a crushing overhead slam dealing Physical Damage. You’ll know it’s coming when its right flail stays forward and the left swings behind its head. There’s a long wind-up and the slam won’t track moving players during the cast—use that moment to step out of its frontal arc and stay safe.
Hulk SmashThe Troll will suddenly abandon its current target and lock onto a random ranged attacker, planting both flails into the ground before hurling its full weight into a devastating hulk smash. The impact erupts in a tight, circular blast of Physical Damage around the point of contact, sending shards of rock and debris flying.
Close Quarter KickThe Troll ducks low and tenses its muscular leg before snapping it forward in a savage, narrow-arc strike that delivers concentrated Physical Damage to any close combatant caught in its fixed path.
Flail SpinThe Troll plants both flails and positions its left hand forward and right hand behind before erupting into a brutal spinning assault, unleashing massive Physical Damage in a sweeping, wide-area blast.
Tactics
  • Stay mobile at all times to continuously dodge telegraphed attacks and reposition safely.
  • If regular ghouls or adds pull aggro, prioritize and dispatch them quickly before refocusing on the Armored Troll.
  • Long-cast Overhead Slam: the Troll plants both flails, shifts its right hand forward and left hand behind — avoid its frontal arc during the wind-up to escape the damage impact.
  • Random-Aggro Hulk Smash: it may target a ranged player and deliver a tight-radius damage slam — stay mobile to slip out of the small AOE.
  • Close-Quarter Kick: the Troll ducks and snaps a short-range kick along its facing direction—stepping out of its line of sight nullifies the attack.
  • Flail Spin: watch for it dropping both flails, left hand forward/right hand back, before unleashing a massive spinning damage AOE — clear the hit zone as soon as it begins.
